About Katrina Ochsenbein Feracini
I am an artistic explorer and educator. Making art is a form of self-expression allowing me to observe, appreciate, and reflect upon the beautiful creation of the world I am living in. The teacher side of me finds it is only natural to share this with other people and help them achieve their own artistic endeavors.
I have been making art for as long as I can remember. For me, there is something distinctive and irreplaceable about using my hands and seeing an image or a form transform before my eyes, or feeling the nature of different materials as they are manipulated. As a multi-disciplinary artist, I always have a desire to try new things. Exploring techniques, materials, and styles, from sculpture to painting: they all contain a new excitement. They contain potential for a different process and a different outcome. My work leads me to explore visual interpretations of the world, inviting you as the viewer to be a part of that.
I am based in Victoria, British Columbia, and resided for an extended period in Montreal, Quebec, obtaining a Fine Arts degree at Concordia University, whist painting and teaching art classes.
